Arthur Simon graduated from Bucknell with a B.S. A certified public accountant in New York State, Simon was a partner with Coopers and Lybrand, L.L.P., Certified Public Accountants from 1968 to 1994, when he retired. In 1996, Simon began serving on the board of Loral’s predecessor.

In 2005, Arthur Simon was named to Loral Space and Communications’ board of directors.

In 2008, MHR and the board of directors for Loral Space and Communications, Inc. were sued by the shareholders for breaches of fiduciary duties related to financing by MHR. During the time of the investigation, Arthur Simon was on the board for Loral, and was named to the Special Committee.
